田の神さま（たのかみさま）」は、日本の稲作文化において豊作を祈り、田んぼを見守る神様で、地域によっては「作神」「農神」とも呼ばれ、特に南九州（鹿児島・宮崎の一部）では「田の神さぁ」として親しまれる石像が有名で、山の神信仰や祖霊信仰とも深く結びつき、農村の生活に密着した存在です。
